Resy / American Express Love Letters project
I truly love this Love Letters series on the blog at Resy.com. The content resonates with me, the writing is lovely and each letter was a joy to illustrate.
This series began in February 2020 as a “valentine” to an industry facing significant hardship during the pandemic. It has since established itself as a popular and meaningful ongoing series of appreciations.
Written through the personal lenses of distinguished and passionate food writers––many whose work I’ve been following for a while––these letters celebrate the community of food and the importance of the establishments that serve us. They honor dedicated owners, chefs and servers as cornerstones of joy and culture and remind us of experiences we may have taken for granted in the “before times”.
These illustrations are my own love letters to the subject and I’m honored to have been included in the project.
